METHOD FOR REDUCING POWER CONSUMPTION OF PROCESSOR

A method for reducing power consumption of a processor. The method includes: converting the time frequency for multi load values of the processor to get a feature sampling period of the processor; and adjusting the voltage/frequency of the processor based on the feature sampling period. The load value of the processor in the next time interval can be predicted exactly by using the method of the invention, thereby the voltage/frequency of the processor in the next time interval is adjusted according to the load value.
