DENTAL DIET FOR REDUCING DENTAL TARTAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pet food intended for solving such problems that pets can gain excellent nutritive value through eating pet food available as common commodities, but usually pets easily form dental plaque and tartar more than wild animals because of offering on the teeth no grinding force to sufficiently clean the teeth.

SOLUTION: The dry pet food mechanically cleans the teeth of pet when chewed and is based on a matrix containing a protein source, a carbohydrate source, and insoluble fiber. The density of the product is <20.5 lbs/ft3. The product has a large size compared to at least some other preceding dry pet foods.
