<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell for use with a portable equipment without need of heed taken of a direction it should be installed. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell 150 provided with an electrolyte layer 114, a first electrode 110 fitted on a first main face of the electrolyte layer, a second electrode 116 fitted on a second main face of the electrolyte, a case 124 housing the electrolyte, the first electrode and the second electrode, a first reaction product fluid exhaust port 126 fitted to the case, and a second reaction fluid supply port 128 fitted to the case, the first reaction product exhaust port 126 is to be fitted at least on two faces of the case.
