<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent display of an electrooptical device from decreasing in contrast by preventing light reflected in a region between mutually adjacent pixels from leaking to a pixel region. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptical device (liquid display device) has a pair of mutually opposite substrates 7a and 8a, an interlayer insulating film 22 provided on the substrate 7a, a light reflecting film 23 provided on the interlayer insulating film 22, and a light shielding film 42 provided on the substrate 8a. A first uneven pattern 38 consisting of a plurality of recessed parts 38a and a plurality of projection parts 38b is provided on a surface of the interlayer insulating film 22 in the area where the light reflecting film 23 is provided, and a second uneven pattern 39 consisting of a plurality of recessed parts 39a and a plurality of projection parts 39b is provided on the surface of the interlayer insulating film 22 in a region opposed to the light shield film 42.
