PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation sheet which can control an inclination angle of a liquid crystalline molecule and is excellent in an optical compensation function.

SOLUTION: The optical compensation sheet comprises an alignment film and an optical anisotropic layer, wherein the optical anisotropic layer is formed of a composition containing at least one kind of crystalline molecule, the inclination angle of a molecule of the crystalline compound changes in accordance with a distance from the alignment film interface to the other side interface, the inclination angle of the alignment film interface side is smaller than the inclination angle of the other interface side and the difference between the inclination angles is 40° or less.
