PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp control device in which a user can carry out luminance adjustment without being conscious of the performance of a lamp. SOLUTION: The lamp control device has a lamp power supply 10 supplying electric power to a lamp 50 installed, and comprises an operating part 3 to which input of information can be made, a memory 2 in which absolute rated data showing the respective performance of lamps is stored correlated with a lamp identification information by which the lamps can be identified for a plurality of lamps capable of using as the lamp 50, and a control part 1 which, based on the lamp identification information specified through the operating part 3, obtains the corresponding absolute rated data from the memory 2, and controls output of the lamp power supply 10 by referring to the absolute rated data obtained.
