PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can advantageously convert the noise generated in the whole tire into a white noise by widely dispersing the frequency of the collision noise generated by the collision of blocks to a road surface by adopting the pitch variation, and also by widely dispersing the frequency of the pumping noise generated by lateral grooves. SOLUTION: Lines 7, 8 of blocks composed of blocks 5, 6 partitioned by circumferential grooves 1, 2, 3 continuously elongating in the circumferential direction and lateral grooves 4 elongating in the direction of width are provided on the surface of a tread. The pitches p1 to p5 of the respective blocks 5, 6 in the circumferential direction are varied to five kinds. The widths w1 to w5 of the respective lateral grooves 4, which are included within the circumferential pitches p1 to p5 of the blocks 5, 6 and contribute to the partition of the blocks 5, 6, are varied to five kinds. In addition, the relative ratios of the groove widths w1 to w5 of the lateral grooves 4 are set so as to be smaller than the corresponding relative ratios of the circumferential pitches p1 to p5 of the respective blocks 5, 6.
