摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure and an assembly method of a motor generator for a hybrid vehicle capable of improving productivity and yield of cases capable of cooling a motor generator with high efficiency while attaining improvement in layout flexibility and upsizing of the motor generator. SOLUTION: The cooling structure of the motor generator for hybrid vehicle is composed of an engine E, the motor generator MG and an automatic transmission AT configuring a hybrid drive system connected in series with each other, and has a cooling medium path 35, provided around an outer circumference of the motor generator MG housed in the transmission case 34, where a motor generator case 36 is newly added separately from the transmission case 34 and the cooling medium path 35 is formed with an annular cooling groove 36d around an outer surface 36a of the motor generator case 36. Furthermore, this cooling structure allows the transmission case 34 to be engaged with the motor generator case 36 in a double cylindrical shape and both end portions sandwiching the cooling groove 36d to be sealed by a first annular seal 37 and a second annular seal 38.
