<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer emulsion which gives water and sebum resistances and makeup lasting quality to a cosmetic for eyelashes and further gives easy removability with an oil cleansing agent, and to provide the cosmetic for the eyelashes comprising the polymer emulsion formulated therein. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer emulsion for the cosmetic for the eyelashes comprises emulsified particles composed of a polymer (A) ingredient containing a constituent unit derived from an acrylate or a methacrylate (a1) having an 8-40C branched alkyl group.
