PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply circuit which avoids the delay of an initiation time caused by an electrolytic capacitor provided in a hit measure circuit without increasing power consumption when initiating a switching power supply circuit, and to provide a plasma television mounted with the power supply circuit. SOLUTION: An auxiliary winding wire circuit 14c is equipped with an activation power feeding block circuit 16d including a small-capacitance second electrolytic capacitor 16m and a first diode 16j, so that in initiation, power to be supplied via the initiation power feeding circuit 16c is blocked from flowing to the hit measure circuit 16d and prevented from being accumulated in a first electrolytic capacitor 16k included in the hit measure circuit 16d, and power is fed to a switching control IC 16f on an early stage for initiation of the switching control IC 16f.
