摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system of an internal combustion engine capable of suitably suppressing that the operating state of an engine becomes unstable by the sudden change of the state amount of the engine when a communication is instantaneously cut off. SOLUTION: In this control system, the control system 100 sets the control target value of a state amount control unit 60 based on the operating state of the engine, and transmits it to the state amount control unit 6 through a CAN 80. The state amount control unit 60 changes the state amount of the engine based on the control target value. When the communication through the CAN 80 is instantaneously cut off, the state amount control unit 60 controls the state amount of the engine based on the control target value transmitted from the control unit 100 until the communication is restored in the communicable state. The control unit 100 sets the control target value based on the actual value transmitted from the state amount control unit 60 immediately before the instantaneous cut off until the communication through the CAN 80 is restored in the communicable state.
