PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying an epoxy resin obtaining an epoxy compound used as an adhesive for an optical member having an extremely high non-coloring property and maintaining high transparency, an adhesive for an optical member and a method for producing the optical member. SOLUTION: This method for purifying the epoxy compound used as the adhesive for the optical member comprises a process of adding 500-2,000 pts.vol. pure water to 100 pts.vol. epoxy compound, then heating at 60-100°C and agitating for 1-24 hr, a process of fractionating pure water and collecting the epoxy compound, and a process of removing water form the collected epoxy compound.
