Disclosed is a switch (1), especially for use in the interior of a vehicle, which is to be embedded at least in part in or on a support (4) that is covered, at least in the area of the switch, with a preferably flexible surface material (3) on the surface thereof (1). Said switch (1) is disposed in an opening (6) of the surface material (3) while comprising a first zone located substantially in the support (4) and a second push button (2) used for triggering a function. The push button (2) is embodied so as to cover at least some areas of the opening (6) in the surface material (3) and be non-positively and/or positively connected thereto. Also disclosed are a method for assembling such a switch (1) as well as uses thereof as a window control and similar.
