Disclosed is a method for producing a polymerizable phosphate ester through a batch reaction. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing at least one polymerizable phosphate ester represented by the formula (II), formula (III) or formula (IV) below, wherein a compound represented by the formula (I) below is added into and reacted with a mixture of phosphoric acid anhydride and a polymerizable phosphate ester reaction product which is obtained in a preceding batch reaction and contains at least one polymerizable phosphate ester represented by the formula (II), formula (III) or formula (IV) below. (In the formulae, R<SUP>1</SUP> represents H or a C<SUB>1-4</SUB> alkyl group; R<SUP>2</SUP> represents a C<SUB>2-6</SUB> alkylene group; and n represents an integer of 1-3.)
