<p>It is intended to provide a method of forming a multilayered coating film which comprises successively applying a first color coating (A), a second aqueous color coating (B) and a clear coating (C) to a material to be coated, and then simultaneously curing by baking the first color coating film, the second color coating film and the clear coating film thus formed; wherein the solid content of the first color coating film immediately before the application of the second aqueous color coating (B) is from 50 to 100% by mass, the gel fraction thereof is form 1 to 95% by mass and the viscosity thereof measured by the rolling ball viscometry method at 23°C is at least 1x10<SUP>5</SUP> mPa<SUP>.</SUP>sec. According to this method, a coating excellent in smoothness and vividness can be formed.</p> |
