The water fitting (10) has a micro switch (14) for switching a submerged pump on and off and a water discharge pipe (12). The illuminant (20) is directly connected to voltage supply by a conductor (22) with the micro switch. The illuminant encloses one light emitting diode (24) and between the light emitting diode and the micro switch in the conductor an electrical resistance (26) is arranged. The micro switch is arranged in a single lever mixer or a mixing tap.
