New organopolysiloxanes (I) are substituted by silicon-bound mono- or di-(omega -carboxy-(substituted)-acrylyl)-amido-hydrocarbyl group(s) (II) and/or their salts. New organopolysiloxanes (I) are substituted by silicon-bound mono- or di-(omega -carboxy-(substituted)-acrylyl)-amido-hydrocarbyl group(s) of formula (II) and/or their salts: -R2>a-NR3>i[(C=O)CH2-C(=CR1>2)-COOH]2-i (II); R1>, R3>H or monovalent (substituted) hydrocarbyl; R2>divalent (substituted) hydrocarbyl; and a, i : 0 or 1. Independent claims are included for (1) preparation of (I); (2) curable compositions containing (I); and (3) cured moldings obtained by curing these compositions.
