<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which makes an observer recognize that a screen saver function works and after that, a display picture of a screen becomes pitch-dark. <P>SOLUTION: When the projector becomes a signal non-input state without input of a video signal and a key signal during a normal display operation for displaying an image by processing light emitted from a lamp based on an input signal and projecting the light on the screen, a screen saver mode is started, a time passage notification image which is preliminarily stored and changes in accordance with passage of time is displayed by projecting it on the screen until predetermined time passes as the signal non-input state and when the predetermined time passes as the signal non-input state, the display picture of the screen is made into pitch-dark without turning a main power supply OFF. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
