<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method for casting a polarized light lens with the use of a tape winding process, instead of the use of a gasket. <P>SOLUTION: This molding method is to mold a polarized light plastic lens with a lens layer formed on both surfaces of a polarized light film, using a pair of a first mold 12 and a second mold 14. That is, a shaping polarized light film 20 is placed, on the first mold 12, afloat by a projecting part 22 for positioning, in the state that the first mold 12 is substantially retained horizontally. Further, a molding die is prepared by winding a tape 16 around the peripheral opening parts of the first mold 12 and the second mold 14 and thereby, forming a cavity 18, in the state that the second mold 14 is set with a specified distance left to the shaping polarized light film 20. Finally, a polymerizable liquid material is injected into both sides of the shaping polarized light film 20 in the molding die and cured by polymerization. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
