<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera with which the interruption of motion picture shooting caused by a medium full state can be avoided and shooting can be performed without missing a valuable shooting chance. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an electronic camera for which a plurality of recording media are available as a medium for recording data of motion pictures acquired by shooting, comprising: a capacity detecting means for detecting empty capacitance of a recording medium being selected as a destination to store motion picture data (S220); a recording control means for switching the storage destination of motion picture data to other recording medium and continuing to record motion picture data on the other recording medium (S226) if the empty capacitance of a recording medium (48) being selected is eliminated during motion picture recording (S220; Yes); and a display means for displaying a message inquiring whether to implement merge processing for linking motion picture data separately recorded on the plurality of recording media and recording the data on one recording medium again after the end of motion picture shooting (S236). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
