<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time to set up the gate voltage of a drive transistor at a predetermined voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage Vdata is applied from the data line 14 to the gate of a drive transistor Tdr and the electrode Ea1 of a capacitor element Ca in the data writing period P1, and the voltage is maintained by the capacitor element Ca matching the voltage Vdata. The gate of the drive transistor Tdr is connected to its drain and the electrode Eb1 of the capacitor element Cb in the compensation period P2, and thereby the voltage is maintained in the capacitor element Cb matching the threshold voltage Vth of the drive transistor Tdr. The electrode Ea2 of the capacitor element Ca and the electrode Eb1 of the capacitor element Cb are electrically connected by the transistor Tr1 in the driving period P3. Thus, the gate voltage of the drive transistor Tdr is set up matching the voltage Vdata and the threshold voltage Vth, and the electro-optical element E is driven to the gradation matching the voltage thus set up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
