WINDSHIELD GLASS DEVICE, REAR MIRROR DEVICE AND OPERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve optical transparency or light reflectivity without using a mechanical wiper to secure external visibility when droplets adhere to a surface of windshield glass or a rearview mirror of a vehicle in rainy weather or the like.

SOLUTION: Creeping discharge plasma is generated by applying a high voltage by a high-voltage power supply 4 to transparent electrodes 2 and 3 arranged on a surface or inside the windshield glass or the rearview mirror, and shapes or motion of droplets 5 present on the surface or a hydrophilic property of the surface is controlled to improve optical transparency or light reflectivity, whereby external visibility is secured.
