<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation log storage system, an external medium and an operation log storage method, allowing collection of operation logs by connecting the external medium to customer equipment. <P>SOLUTION: This operation log storage system S comprises the customer equipment 1 and the external medium 2. When connecting the external medium 2 storing an operation log collection program 20 to the customer equipment 1, the operation log collection program 20 is automatically started. When detecting a message sent to an application 11 from an OS 10 of the customer equipment 1, the external medium 2 interrupt-acquires the detected message. Message acquisition time is acquired from a timepiece part 21 incorporated in the external medium 2.
