<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which achieves excellent display quality by regulating abnormal rubbing occurring in alignment treatment, and a color filter substrate used therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 10 includes the color filter substrate 11. The color filter substrate 11 includes: a glass substrate 18; a black matrix 19 arranged on the glass substrate 18 and formed with a plurality of light transmissive sections 20; a plurality of color layers 22, 23, 24 arranged so as to respectively cover the plurality of light transmissive sections 20 formed on the black matrix 19; spacer pedestal sections 25 arranged on the black matrix 19, corresponding to at least one of the plurality of color layers 22, 23, and disposed 24 so as to be separated from the corresponding color layers 22, 23, 24; and photo-spacers 27 arranged on each of the plurality of spacer pedestal sections 25 in a standing condition, wherein the spacer pedestal sections 25 are formed in such a way that their cross-sectional areas are larger than those of the photo-spacers 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
