<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus in which merit can be received in both of a function aspect and a cost/environment aspect. <P>SOLUTION: A recording and reproducing apparatus 1 is provided with a conversion processing part 12 performing encoding and decoding for AV data, and a hard disk drive 13 for storing data obtained by processing of the conversion processing part 12 and data processed by the conversion processing part 12, and a quick start mode in which standby is kept stopping power supply for the conversion processing part 12 and performing power supply for the hard disk drive 13 can be utilized. Then, the recording and reproducing apparatus 1 is provided with, further, a quick start mode finish part 16 in which the quick start mode is finished at the point of time at which the prescribed time elapses from pressing of a power source button and the mode is shifted to a power consumption mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
