PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling controller for an automobile attaining acceleration/deceleration without giving a sense of incongruity to a driver when following a preceding vehicle. SOLUTION: When following the preceding vehicle, a curve entry speed of the preceding vehicle and a distance to the preceding vehicle are stored in a storing part 16, and one's own vehicle speed is controlled by using at least one of a throttle 24, a transmission 26, and a brake actuator 27 such that the speed is lower than the stored speed of the preceding vehicle when the own vehicle reaches the spot.
