PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal provided with protection members that prevent foreign matter such as water vapor from affecting display of a liquid-crystal display, even when the foreign matter such as water vapor intrudes into gaps between a plurality of the protection members. SOLUTION: A protection panel is adhered to the inside of an outer sheath by using an adhesive sheet so as to be physically brought into close contact with the outer sheath and a window. A hermetically sealed space can be formed in between the window since the central part of the protection panel is recessed. In such a constitution, a part of the upper face of the protection panel is cut so as to provide a groove in the protection panel. The adhesive sheet for adhering between the protection panel and the inside of the outer sheath is not made of a single member, but is divided into a plurality of sheets so as to adhere between the protection panel and the inside of the outer sheath in a state that a plurality of the adhesive sheets are not brought into close contact with each other. Consequently, the gaps are generated between the adhesive sheets. By such a constitution, a ventilation hole for allowing ventilation is formed between the hermetically sealed space and the outside of the protection panel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
