PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile system which allows a person in charge to know incoming of facsimile to acquire facsimile data by a specified method, relating to distribution of incoming data of a facsimile machine connected to a network. SOLUTION: The facsimile system comprises a telephone set connected to a network, at least one multifunction machine equipped with facsimile function, and a terminal equipment such as a personal computer (PC). The multifunction machine comprises a FAX communication control unit which receives signals transferred from the telephone set as well as a specification code for specifying a process after transfer, and acquires facsimile data that has been received by a method based on the specified code.
