PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elongation side damping force of proportional characteristic with a simple structure in a front fork. SOLUTION: In the front fork 10 , a ring-shape valve 23 is held between upper and lower stoppers 19A, 19B provided at an inner circumference of an inner tube 12 in a manner movable in a shaft direction of the inner tube 12 and slide-contacts with an outer circumference of a sheet pipe 22. The ring-shape valve 23 is provided with a longitudinal groove 23A sandwiched between upper and lower end surfaces of the ring-shape valve 23 for the whole length of the inner circumference via a ring-shape gap 20 between the ring-shape valve 23 and the inner circumference of the inner tube 12 and is provided with a lateral groove 23B in a radial direction of the lower end surface.
