PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metering pump head assuring accurate and proper pump operation and having excellent durability, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A liquid is sucked into a chamber formed in a cylinder 18 by the operation of a piston 13 through a suction port 15. The liquid is discharged through a discharge port 16. A packing 19 is fitted to the outer peripheral part of the cylinder 18 in which the suction port 15 and the discharge port 16 are formed. A head body 11 to be fitted into the cylinder 18 is heated to fit the cylinder 18 onto the head body 11 by shrink fitting. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
