PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high lubricating performance by securing sealability at the mating part of both split bodies without using melt-bonding when an oil strainer is composed by combining two split bodies with each other to suppress the defective sucking of an oil and the sucking of an unfiltered oil. SOLUTION: This oil strainer 1 comprises an upper split body 20 and a lower split body 30. The upper split body 20 comprises an upper end part 21 extending generally in the vertical direction and a diagonal part 22 extending diagonally. An annularly extending ridge part 26 is formed on the outer surface of the diagonal part 22. The lower split body 30 comprises a filter part 31 and a peripheral wall part 32 extending upward from the outer peripheral part of the filter part 31. The inner diameter of the peripheral wall part 32 is larger than the outer diameter of the diagonal part 22. An annularly extending groove part 36 is formed in the inner surface of the peripheral wall part 32. By engaging the ridge part 26 with the groove part 36, the upper split body 20 can be formed integrally with the lower split body 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
