PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminous toy which permits the further development and improvement of intelligence and sensibility and reduces brightness irregularities by changing brightness and colors in accordance with a spatial arrangement form. SOLUTION: The luminous toy 1 has a light transmitting housing 2 to be a form component in a space. Sensors 7 to detect the brightness of the exterior are attached are attached to the housing 2. A light source 3 and an optical member 5 are arranged in the housing 2. The optical member 5 has faces intersecting an optical axis between the light source 3 and a crust face which the optical axis of light from the light source 3 intersects. also has a control means to vary the color of the light source 3 on the basis of the detection output of a sensor 7.
