PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ruler for an exercise assisting apparatus, allowing a user to easily adjust the seat part of the exercise assisting apparatus so as to have an optimum height at which a knee angle becomes a prescribed angle for obtaining a high exercise effect. SOLUTION: The ruler 20 for the exercise assisting apparatus includes thigh abutment parts 21a to be abutted on the thigh parts 31a of the user 3A(3B) and leg abutment parts 22a abutting on the leg parts 31b of the user 3A(3B), when the knee angleθof the user 3A(3B) becomes the prescribed angle for obtaining the high exercise effect. The user 3A(3B) is seated on the seat part 4 of the exercise assisting apparatus 1 and elevates/lowers the seat part 4 while the user put the ruler 20 for the exercise assisting apparatus on the lower limb 31, thereby adjusting the knee angleθin order to obtain a state where the thigh abutment parts 21a and the leg abutment parts 22a respectively abuts on the thigh parts 31a and the leg parts 31b.
