<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit capable of easily providing uniform luminance in a surface even when a large and thin surface light emitting device is composed, and excelling in a heat radiation characteristic for heat generated by a light source. <P>SOLUTION: This light source unit includes: a body housing part; the light source arranged in a part of the bottom part of the body housing part; a reflecting plate formed around the light source for reflecting light from the light source toward the upper surface of the body housing part; a transparent lid arranged on the upper surface of the body housing part for transmitting the light from the light source; and a light transmission adjustment part formed at a position facing to the light source on the undersurface of the transparent lid. The light source unit can emit light of a surface light emission distribution having high light intensity by reflecting the light from the light source toward the upper surface of the body housing part by the reflecting plate to superpose it on the light permeating the transparent lid, and working accuracy of the light transmission adjustment part is improved as well. The heat from the light source can be efficiently radiated by a space between the transparent lid and the reflecting plate, and output degradation and an adverse effect by heating can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
