<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which a current discharge is actively generated to positively give electric charges to toner not only by friction between a sleeve and a restricting member, but also by another means. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 20, equipped with a toner-agitating and conveying means having an agitating member that includes at least a spiral 1 or a paddle, is equipped with a voltage-applying means which uses a shaft 3 of the agitating member as one electrode and has the other electrode 7 arranged on the side of an opposite developing device housing 6 for applying a bias voltage between both the electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
