<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw cap which supports reduction in the basis weight of coated resin, excellent both in tamper-evidence and capping ability, and further with high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The screw cap consists of a ceiling wall 1, a skirt wall 2 and a TE band 4. A protrusion 12 to engage with a container flange 52 when a cap is opened, is provided on the internal surface of the TE band 4.
