<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for reproducing video recordings which enable a user to more efficiently view scenes of the user's interest among video-recorded broadcast programs. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus 20 for reproducing video recordings transmits video recording reservation information to a video information providing server 40 according to video recording reservations, receives a broadcast signal from a television receiver 30 and records the signal. The video information providing server 40 records the signal on the basis of the received video recording reservation information, generates digest data with a time code and representative image data on the basis of a selected caption signal, and transmits video information data based on them to a mobile phone terminal 50. The mobile phone terminal 50 sets a flag as to a selected representative image on the basis of the selection of the representative image on the mobile phone terminal 50 by the user. Then the mobile phone terminal 50 transmits video image data with the flag attached thereto to the apparatus 20 for reproducing the video recordings, which reproduces selected scenes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
