<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal, a packet control function, and a mobile communication method for relieving the load on a mobile communication system where each communication terminal avoids carrying out communication, using channels set with sectors that is the maximum number of communication sectors or larger. <P>SOLUTION: The communication terminal AT includes a discrimination section 15 that is configured to adopt a hand-off candidate of each channel by transmitting a channel information report, including the reception quality of a prescribed pilot signal and is configured to discriminate whether each channel is to be adopted for the hand-off candidate, on the basis of the reception quality of the pilot signal; and a channel information report transmission section 16, that is configured not to transmit the channel information report for adopting a specified channel for the hand-off candidate, when it is discriminated that the specified channel is to be adopted for the hand-off candidate and the number of channel settable sectors in the communication terminal becomes larger than the maximum number of communication sectors, by adopting the specified channel for the hand-off candidate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
