<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformer which can secure a sufficient creepage distance between a primary coil and a secondary coil by a simple structure, and thereby can easily meet the needs for reduction in size and thickness. <P>SOLUTION: The transformer comprises a first bobbin 1, a second bobbin 8, and a first core 6. The first bobbin 1 has such a structure that a terminal mounting portion 4 equipped with terminals 4a to which the end of a conductor is to be connected is formed on one end in the axis direction of a first winding 3 around which the conductor is to be wound in the form of a coil, and a cylindrical storage 5 is formed on the other end in the axis direction of the first winding 3. The second bobbin 8 has such a structure that a terminal mounting portion 11 equipped with terminals 11a to which the end of a conductor is connected is formed on one end in the axis direction of a second winding 10 around which the conductor is to be wound in the form of a coil. The second bobbin 8 is integrated with the first bobbin 1 by inserting the second winding 10 into the storage 5.
