JOINT FOR BRANCHING LIVE PIPE AND LIVE PIPE BRANCHING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint for branching a live pipe which forms an eccentric drilled hole in an original pipe securely and has excellent reliability. SOLUTION: A piston 11 lowering in parallel with a vertical neutral face at a position being eccentric from the vertical neutral face of the original pipe 1 is incorporated into a hole drilling operation port 9 of a first branch joint 4, and the piston 11 forms a cutting edge part 13 at a tip in the axial direction of the piston 11 and forms a through hole 14 in an intermediate part in the axial direction. A nut member 17 is detachably fixed to an opening upper end part 9a in a more rear part than the piston 11 in the hole drilling operation port 9. A screw shaft 22 is screw-fitted into the nut member 17, and a tip part 22a of the screw shaft 22 is abutted on a rear end face of the piston 11. The piston 11 is lowered in accordance with advance by rotation of the screw shaft 22, and a part of a peripheral wall of the original pipe 1 is shaved off by the cutting edge part 13 to form an eccentric drilled hole 31.
