PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue light-emitting compound having a triarylsilylphenyl group and having improved luminous efficiency and luminance characteristics and provide an organic electroluminescent device produced by using the blue light-emitting compound as a color developing material. SOLUTION: The blue light-emitting compound for organic electroluminescent device has triarylsilylphenyl group and is expressed by chemical formula (4) (Ar is one selected from the group consisting of a 6-20C aryl group, a 6-20C aryl group having 1-20C alkyl group or a 6-20C aryl group having 1-20C alkoxy group; R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>are each independently hydrogen or a substituent selected from the group consisting of a 1-20C alkyl group, a 6-20C aryl group having 1-20C alkyl group or a 6-20C aryl group having 1-20C alkoxy group).
