A laminar floor is assembled from panels linked by tongue and groove joints. The U-shaped groove has an upper contact surface and a lower contact surface linked by a sidewall (5). The upper surface is essentially flat and horizontal, while the lower surface (4a) is gently concave. Following installation, the tongue tip is separated from the sidewall by a gap (9).
