The arrangement (9) has a measuring sensor (5) immersed in an electrolyte bath (13) and suspended from a retainer (8). The sensor is moved in a region between an anode (10) and a cathode (11) when intensity of current flowing in an electrolytic solution between the anode and cathode is sequentially sensed or measured. The measuring sensor is comprised of high permeable paramagnetic yoke, and a magnetic field sensor is placed in an arm of the yoke. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining current density distribution in an electrolyte bath.
