<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-density micro-electrode array which has flexibility, is flexible, and can be planted in a living tissue. <P>SOLUTION: The micro-electrode array includes at least first and second polymer layers 14 and 32 between which two or more patterned conductive trait sections containing a metal osculation pad 26, a metal trace 28, and a metal electrode and which can be planted and has bio-compatibility. Each metal trace 28 is between the metal osculation pad 26 and the metal electrode and has a fully roundish angle and a zigzag pattern. The trait of the latter is provided by using a stent technique. This invention further provides a method for manufacturing the micro-electrode array, which has such flexibility, is flexible, and can be planted, and a medical tool, which can be planted, including the micro-electrode array of this invention by combining a fine processing technology and the stent technique. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
