<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purifying agent extremely quickly removing aldehyde components such as formaldehyde or acetaldehyde contained in air. <P>SOLUTION: This aldehyde-containing air purifying agent composition contains supported particles formed by supporting at least a single type of hydrazide compound of 5-70 pts.wt. as active ingredients relative to at least single type of porous inorganic particles of 100 pts.wt. selected from silica gel particles and alumina particles, and the pore volume of the supported particle is 0.1-2.0 ml/g. An aldehyde-containing air purifying material is formed by fixing the composition to a support body.
