<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide waterproof packing that is so excellent in workability that it can be assembled with ease and is also so excellent in disassemblability that an installation space can be reduced to save space. <P>SOLUTION: The waterproof packing 10 is for disposing a shaft 2 extended from the interior to the exterior of electronic equipment through an opening 1a formed in the peripheral wall 1 of the equipment with a waterproofing function provided. The packing integrally includes a body 12 that is formed of an elastic body and cylindrical and has a through hole 12a in the center; and plate-like flanges 14 protruded from both ends of the body 12 along its circumference. The body 12 is so provided that it is tapered on one side and the diameter of the cylinder is reduced. Thus, the flange 14 on the smaller diameter side can be inserted into the opening 1a. The shaft 2 is inserted into the through hole 12a in the body 12. Thus, the smaller diameter-side portion of the body 12 is lengthened and the body 12 and the flanges 14 at both ends are restored to their substantially original shapes.
