<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement compressor with reduced vibration noise. <P>SOLUTION: A front head 4 of the compressor is formed in a shape of a cup having an approximately tubular peripheral wall 40a and a front face wall 40b closing a front end of the peripheral wall. The front face wall 40b of the front head 4 includes: a boss part 41 which is formed at the center part and through which a drive shaft 10 passes; seat parts 45 disposed to be closer to an outer peripheral side than the boss part 41 at circumferentially equal intervals and forming seat faces 45a of fastening parts 13b of the through bolts 13.
