PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding mobile terminal in which backlash or the like liable to be caused between a carried state and an extended state, can be suppressed by a connecting part including a plurality of rails and engaging portions, a predetermined strength can be ensured, and the rails are not exposed in a turning state. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal 10 is provided with: a connecting part 30 for connecting an upper case 11 and a lower case 12 and guiding them from a carried state to an extended state; and a turning means 40 for relatively turning the upper case 11 and the lower case 12. The connecting part 30 includes a first rail 31 and a second rail 32 provided on a front face 12A of the lower case 12, and a first engaging portion 33 and a second engaging portion 34 provided on a rear face 11B of the upper case 11. The turning means 40 disengages the first engaging portion 33 from the first rail 31 and then relatively turns the upper case 11 and the lower case 12 around the second engaging portion 34, so that the first engaging portion 33 is engaged to the second rail 32.
