PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for chafers improved in strengths and to provide a tire having a chafer comprising the same. SOLUTION: Provided are a rubber composition for chafers comprising 100 pts.mass. rubber component, 40 to 120 pts.mass reinforcement, and 2 to 30 pts.mass compound satisfying formula (1) -(R-S<SB>x</SB>)<SB>n</SB>- (1) (wherein R is a group represented by formula (2); x is an integer of 3 to 6; n is an integer of 10 to 400; and m is an integer of 2 to 5) and a tire having a chafer comprising the same.
