PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based one-pack type coating composition forming a coated film having good touch of softness compatible with coated film performances and maintaining general performances of coating such as designability (a matte feeling or the like), adhesiveness, coated film strength, scuff resistance, water resistance, stain resistance to oils and fats and alkali resistance and to provide a coated article coated with the water-based one-pack type coating composition. SOLUTION: The water-based one-pack type coating composition comprises an ionomer resin emulsion (A), a polyolefin resin emulsion (B), resin particles (C) and a urethane dispersion (D) in (40/100) to (100/100) solid content mass ratio (mass ratio converted into the solid content) of (C)/ä(A)+(B)+(D)}, (1/3) to (3/1) solid content mass ratio of (A)/(B) and (40/60) to (70/30) solid content mass ratio of [(A)+(B)]/(D).
